Forss Business & Technology Park
The Forss Business & Technology Park (FBTP) provides high quality office, workshop, storage and public space in a total of 13 buildings and over 73,000 sq ft. of total space. The UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) took up residence in August 2003, with the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) and ten other high profile firms having also taken space at the site. Communal facilities include a refectory and a recreational / gym facility (under refurbishment).Development at FBTP has wider medium and long term objectives which include:
 | establishing FBTP as a high profile centre of nuclear decommissioning expertise through the continued attraction of sector operators to the site; |
| enabling locally based firms to exploit opportunities in nuclear decommissioning across the UK and globally; |
| creating an environment where new firms can be started up and spun out, utilising FBTP’s incubation space; |
| attracting technology firms from other sectors and working with partners to take advantage of opportunities in other sectors to enable the Caithness economy to continue to prosper. |
